objectives

On the different resources pointed out in the previous paragraph, you should carry out four main activities, i.e.:

  • selection

  • analysis

  • comparison

  • synthesis.

You are expected to create different digital products connected to each other, by working in small groups where each of you will be very active. We believe that to completely develop critical thinking it is useful to cope with different communicative needs in terms of, for example, conceptual density, extension and intensity, or for the receiver’s presence or absence, and the use or not of oral language.

First of all we ask you to produce a  mind map, which can help you to rapidly orient in the complex articulations characterizing the relationships between adolescents and digital technologies. You can start from the materials contained in the introduction, and gradually improve your map working on the research resources we have indicated.

After the  mind map, you should create a complete presentation of the problem, producing a set of digital slides as a support for your oral exposition. When you will be producing your presentation, consider that it is addressed to a group of your peers that you want to make curious on the topic and convince to consult the material you used.

Starting from the  mind map, you can also realize, first, the structure and, then, the drawing up of a short article for an authentic or hypothetical journal of your school, always addressed to your peers.

Subsequently, you should write also a post for a blog you attend (or maybe a “comment” to post on Facebook or MySpace), in which you summarize the content of your article, to make – again – the reader curious and to make him/her want to read it.

In the end, realize, using the file we give you, a review of the key-words that have been more useful for you.
